need help

I posted this up in the super duty forum also. does anyone know how to disconnect the coil from the wire harness on the 6.2l coil on plug???

there should be a little clip right on the top of the coil pack that you push the tab and pull off, thats the way it is on all my other coil over plug rigs...unless your talking about pulling the coil pack off the plug, in which case most have a 7mm bolt that you take off, pull the electrical clip on the top and then just pull the whole sucker straight out of the hole.

i see the little red tab on the top of the wire harness plug. are you saying just push it in while pulling on the plug? or do i pull the tab back first to unlock it?

slide the Red tab out about 1/4 inch.. press down on locking tab (not red) and remove connector from coil.


sometimes the red tab breaks.. no big deal.. its a lock for the locking tab. so a double lock.

Thanks Chuck! that is exactly the info i needed. i have already broken one red tab. i didn't know it was a double lock. Thanks again
