I haven't gotten that far yet... found a couple of local (reasonably) shops that come recommended and I plan on talking to them about options.. leather is definitely out, too much $$$.

I'll probably go with vinyl or cloth... maybe pleather if the cost isn't out of range. I want it nice but not too nice to drive.

Got a work buddy that started a '56 chevy convert about three years ago... bought it and took it to a shop in Mississippi with a deposit check. Several checks later and he's got over 100K in the car and still planning on 18K for interior work...lots of hides. Now he's realized it's too nice to drive and he's looking for another. It's gonna be a trailer queen and World of Wheels trophy. More dollars than sense.

I want a head turner... but it's gotta be affordable and drivable... I'm still under 30K with another 7-9 to spend on paint and interior.. sound system and such... and doo-dads I ain't even thought about yet... those 20-50 items add up fast.

I get trophies every time I drive mine in the way of thumbs up and people coming over to talk and ask questions about it, been chased down several times and asked if they can take pictures. Had the guy from the radio station follow me all through Dryden to take a look at it. The fun is in driving them not sitting at a car show which tends to get boring pretty quick for me anyways..

that's the cool part...

I've had strangers come up the driveway when we have it outside working on it, just to look and ask questions..... kinda felt guilty one time when a group of kids rode up on bicycles... one of them said "you've been working on that truck since I was a little kid... " he was about 15. good motivator there !
