I have a question, I was driving my truck yesterday and all of the Sudden I cannot start my truck when it is in Park anymore. It will only restart when it is in Neutral. Where do I start to look and fix
Your shifter handle (auto) I assume, feels like a wobbling mess, Yes?
If so, pull the panel at your knee caps and read all the youtube videos about tightening up the torx head bolts (10 m ) I think on your steering column.
You can also lean heavy on the shifter toward your drivers side to see if that will work for you.
If that doesn't work, which it usually does, then the next thing I would look at is the tranny position sensor on the the side of the tranny. Easy fix, about $70 for the part.
Ok, So You tubed it, and when I went to tighten the screws. The top screw is missing and in fact the nut part is broken off and the bottom was loose. So I tighten it, But I am thinking I need a new Colum unless someone has any other Idea

I know you'll be standing on your head but how hard is that screw to get to? You could drill and use an easy out or sometimes you can take a small(er) drill bit and grind the end flat then with the drill in reverse the friction can bring the screw out. That one's kind of iffy but trying it first beats doing the column.
I just wanted to let you all know that I was able to fix the shift tube. The treaded part is broken so I put a nut at the end and was able to get it tight. I am going to see how this works. If it comes off I might have to replace the Column or shift tube. Thanks all for the help!
