Scanner app question
Brand new here. Just got a well use f350 with a 6.0. 225000 miles. Previous owner got tired of sinking money into it, bought a new truck. Now it is my turn.
It had a miss, owner said he thought an injector was bad. I researched a lot and got the obd fusion scanner. Tried figuring out the engine contribution test, but it has eluded me. Also no fault codes are showing.
Finally stopped by a dealer and had a diagnostic run on it. They found a fault code. #6 misfire, checked all other engine and fuel parameters and they are good.
This morning I put in the injector and it purrs like a kitten. Upset I had to have the dealer tell me this info.
Has anyone used the obd fusion scanner before. It reviewed highly rated, yet it seemed to mis a generic fault code and I can't figure out the power distribution functionality.
