My 1980 F 100 has no heat stove. The 300 -6 cyl. engine that was in the truck when I bought it many years ago was a rebuild so I assume that part never made it back on. Can anyone supply me with a clear picture of what this looks like? Are these still available somewhere? I haven't come across any in the junkyards around here and I'm sure they would be rusted out if I did. I operate the truck from May to October right now but I'm hopping to restore the engine to winter operating conditions. Any help is appreciated.
These are hard to come by in junk yards. I have seen some available in the past, but they are expensive. I have seen people take a pipe and attach it to the side of one header with hose clamps with success. Not pretty, but operational Not sure on diameter for the flex hose that leads to the air filter snorkel right now.
This shroud also requires its support bracket. See 9C670 in parts catalog pic.
