First off I want to say thanks for those who replied to my previous issues. I have a 2006 6.0 and have recently done a oil cooler replacement, egr delete and #4 injector. After doing so my truck wouldn't start. After several attempts and checking all possibilities given by you guys, it woke up. Now, #8 injector threw a code as well as a slew of other injector codes and glow plug codes and was thinking ficm wasn't connected right. Unhooked ficm yesterday and put plugs back in and now no start. Can hear injectors cycling and fuel pump, but will not turn over. What gives? Any help would be extremely grateful. Thanks in advance.
Did you get the FICM ground wire on the intake stud
Hey Benny, hate to hijack his thread, but I've not heard of this FICM ground wire before and I still can't get my Eseries to start after trying everything that's been suggested here. Do you know where this wire is on vans? My FICM isn't on the valve cover, it's mounted by the driver's fender. If you want to answer on my thread we can let this guy's thread alone.
Turns over but no start. Replaced #8 injector today and it fires up. Sat for an hour and now nothing! Throwing glow plug code for control module to pcm and egr codes for the delete. Do I need to get sct controller to torn the egr code off? What gives, runs great then no start
Hey, I don't know, but many of the credible techs here have said that nipple cup failures are rare. I replaced mine once - as it turns out, for no reason - and have the socket if you need it.
