"I purchased Weston 6" wide boards but they do not go past the back of the cab due to needing space for the camper hold downs." If a I plan on a slide in camper, Are the ext boards going to be in the way?
Anyone attempt F150 brackets on the extended boards? I'm interested to know how the extended portion attaches and would a higher position work?
I have not done this, but I did just swap the regular 6" chrome steps on my KR to the extended 6" chrome steps. Here is a picture of the two steps side-by-side.
Note the extension support bracket, this will need to be modified to work with the F150 brackets. Does the F150 come with an extended step? If so, that bracket may be available; otherwise, you are looking at a cut/re-weld solution.
Gascan: Did you order them from the dealer or are they available from another source? Just trying to dry off the rear window after washing my 250 requires ninja skills without extensions. Any info you can give would be great.
I custom ordered my truck - so they were part of the original equipment from Ford as part of my order.
