2000 7.3 HP question
I just sold my 96 7.3 that I had for 18 years and bought a 2000 7.3 ...I'm going to be doing a few upgrades, one being power. I've read my 2000 has 235hp. I also read the 2003 has 250hp both w/Auto trans. Can anyone tell me where the additional 15hp of the 2003 comes from? Could it be different injectors or turbo, or factory programing or? Thanks for any help.

It's all smoke and mirrors. The accelerator pedal is far more sensitive off idle on a 2002 / 2003 pickup than the earlier models.... it gives the perception of more power.
The biggest change, which amounts to nothing, is a slightly changed RPM-based allowable fuel map.
