First. I only get a p2700 code no others. I've searched all over this site an others trying to find symptoms like mine an I haven't been able to. When it comes to transmissions I hate them with a passion. I've never took one a part besides a filter or solenoid change but I still hate them. So I have no clue about the Inside of them.
The truck has been shifting normal. Only time I've been able to get it to throw the code is when I back up a good distance an then drive forwards an when I manually put it down in first. It'll shift funny until I turn the truck off an back on then all normal again. I'm hoping that it's just a solenoid going bad or something. But what I've found online ain't helpful. All I can find is its either shot, bad solenoids, sensor, or low on fluid(which its not already checked).
Any help would be appreciated. Kinda want to get an idea what the problem is before I let my trans guy go at it an spend all my toy fund money.

Trans friction element A ( apply time range or performance) here's what I found on this , sometimes you can disconnect both battery's to reset the PCM , happy reading and good luck
Ok I was finally able to pull another code. Had to make it trip then make it to my work to use the scanner. But I got the p2700 and a P0751 shift solenoid a. Unless it goes into limp mode the truck shifts just fine not a problem one out of it. My question is, does the solenoid just need replacing or is there something more going on there?
I'm waiting to hear back from my transmission guy about cost. I read that it's a simple job but the trans is just about the only thing on this truck that hasn't had a once over twice since i've bought it. So i'm going to have him look the whole thing over and service it. I'm one of the people who if it works don't mess with it, plus i hate transmissions. I've never had luck with them. Just wanted to get an idea on what i'm looking at before hand.
Most of us here would probably tell you to start with that solenoid. I have never done one but anyone here that has would say it's pretty much nuts and bolts type of job.
