Weird Vibaraton

I have a 05 250 that i thought was a carrier bearing. I get a vibration between 45-50 and goes away. I have some rim rash on the rear passenger side which is farthest away from the driver. Not certain its the rim, carrier bearing. The part I don't understand it that when there's a load of only about 50 LBS in the bed the vib isn't there....what's causing the vibration not under a load???

I would be looking more at loose sheetmetal. brackets, muffler hanger, etc.. Having a small load in the bed seems to dampen the noise, would not think a bearing / hub/ driveshaft.

Bed shake/vibration was a common issue in some of the earlier 11th gen's. Ford starting placing a frame vibration damper on the later models. My '07 has it, a huge cast iron weight on top of the right rear frame rail mounted in rubber dampers.

how do you diagnose that? I'm comes at about 46mph and goes away the about 50mph
