Coming into my tenth year, I always find the FTE a double-edge sword.
I never would have got my truck built without FTE.....but how much quicker might I have done it not procrastinating on FTE every day?
When there is an occasional member who always knows better than the people actually DOING their builds, it simply helps clarify the time balance between the forum and the garage........
Sometimes I don't realize just how many guys are missing until I research an older thread. Its at that time I see all the once very active members avatars pop up. Its then that I start really thinking about what has changed in there lives and hoping that they are ok. Hellfire Jim and Arrow head Fred I think of often, as I had the pleasure of a deeper relationship with them. Randy Jack also, even though I did not know him all that well but did enjoy his postings. It very sorrowful when we loose a member to bad health. But not to forget and rejoice our members that have battled there way back to good health with the help of prayers from so many caring members.
I noticed that a few that posted in these threads haven't been on FTE for a while which is quite worrisome Ross, hopefully they are still alive and well.
I still lurk from time to time..
Still have The Coe and found a shop that is going to do the finishing touches.
I keep HellfireJim and Dale close to my heart.
Jim and I hit it off and would message each other often,He sent a die cast 55 chevy panel van to me as a Present to my son,my son was 4 and he dropped it accidentally and broke it .
I still have allthe pieces and will put it together one of these days.
My son named the panel van "Jim"
Dale and I would email back and forth,he sent me a funny email about female dagmars that was funny.
Also,he sent me a gift card for "toys are us" he said to buy my kid something cool..
I like this forum and miss some of the member that dont post anymore.
Michigan Rick and sloppy-ollies are another couple members not seen for a long time either..
I'm pretty sure someone told me Rick passed away some time ago. I could be wrong. He used to show up at the Dash in the Dells in Wisconsin, that's where I met him but I haven't been able to make it to the Dash if some years. I think Stu knew him fairly well, at least better than me.

Most of these guys were not very old, makes one think how lucky we are..
