I finally read all 103 pages of the Julie Tread! OMG! That was funny as sheot!
I had never seen it before.
It was a huge topic of conversation at the first few Truckstocks. Honestly, I watched out the corner of my eye waiting for some dude to come up my driveway and say "Hi, I'm Julie." Lol. Back then, we kept waiting for him to show back up. Occasionally, new guys would show up on the forum, and somebody would ask behind the scenes "I wonder if that's Julie?" You should have been around when it was going down. It was hilarious!
Why are the people on this forum worried about Axracer? I'm sure he's doing just fine. If they want to find some people, they ought to look for some of the other guys who have vanished over the years.
There are several long time members that haven't been around for a while......Havi, 52 Merc.....I'm sure there are others I'm forgetting. Maybe we need a new "roll call" thread?
I need to take a break from this place and the internet in general once in a while.......it restores my perspective a bit.

I agree that a roll call thread would be great, there have been so many builds on here that just dead ended a few years back and there are several that were awesome builds, would really be nice to see them finished now.
Col Flashman is another member who has been absent for a long while too but think I remember him saying that he was looking after his wife who wasn't doing too well

I know the Colonel personally, his wife has ALS - Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, better known as Lou Gehrig's disease.
He posted something recently, but I cannot recall where...t'was possibly in the SoCal Chapter forum.
Hope he is still doing well, I did help him find his galleries awhile back but think he'll be pissed when he sees they did away with the galleries now..

I was thinking of the cantankerous Colonel the other day and wondered what became of him. I haven't seen a posting from him in ages
Has anyone heard a anything from "Nuthin"? I haven't heard from her in awhile either.
Col. Flashman posted in February of this year in "Forum Tips, Tricks, and How To's". He shared at that time that his wife Nancy was hospitalized for an extended period and struggling with the effects of A.L.S. He also mentioned that due to his wife's illness, his family was experiencing severe financial problems and they were in danger of loosing everything--Certainly a very sad situation with no easy solutions! Maybe someone here in the FTE "family" knows the Col. personally and would be in a position to reach out to him and give us all an up-date. Maybe too some type of on opportunity could be set up for us to help the Flashman family at this very difficult time.

These days health care has gotten so expensive that there are a lot of families having this same problem. There are lots of organizations out there that will help but you have to be careful to separate the good from the bad. Local churches are a good place to start whether you belong to it or not. If you Google "financial aid for health problems" you will find a long list. You just have to sort through them to find the one that best fit your needs.
