The complete set of flaps with stainless steel can be bought for $250 for the dually with the wide 21 inch rears. They nail you on the custom aluminum brackets.
I will be making my own frame mount brackets, the problem with fender mounted flaps is if you lose tread, say goodbye to fender.

So you mean to tell me the $400 (roughly) I found for my F-250 DOESNT INCLUDE HARDWARE?
Whats next? Paying an environmental disposal fee with the flaps for the grinding of the stump left when the rubber tree was cut down to make the flaps?

No you got the brackets for the $400. I'm saying 200+ bucks extra for some pieces of aluminum isn't a good deal imo. The flaps only are about $180 for SRW trucks.
Is that crazy expensive bracket ($167 for rear dually) worth it? My drill will punch through steel and aluminum without any issues... If I need a bracket, it looks like 2 hole through the pinch weld and one through the fender flare will do the trick these $40 brackets. I have not seen a tire on vehicle loose tread in years. On commercial big with re-caps well yes.
Nope not buying retreads here.. just replying to the statement made that if tread was lost with the gatorback mounting style you could kiss your fender goodbye. I have witnessed a tire come apart on the interstate on a automobile and not a semi recap and yes the fender was destroyed.
Check out Duraflap, just got front and rears for $263.00 to my door. They have stainless accents as well as all mounting brackets. Let them know you are a member here.

Thanks for the referral. Duraflaps pricing is more in line with what I expecting. Can you post up some photos of your installed mud flaps?
We would like to suggest ROCKSTAR™ Mud Flaps. They are made in the USA, constructed with quality materials and are easy to install. We offer both behind the wheel and hitch mounted mud flaps for every budget. Visit https://www.agricover.com/mud-flaps/ for more information.

I second your opinion/fact!!
I was riding in the passenger front seat of a 2015 F250 about 2 months ago when the right front blew. Tread flew all over. Tore up the rear portion of the front fender and the front of the running boards. Same truck about 1-2 weeks later blew the rear passenger and tore that fender up. He just got truck back from the body shop a week ago. Insurance covered most of the $4139 bill. He also has new tires all the way around now.
This guy is on his 4th or 5th F250 and puts a lot of miles on them. He has bragged and bragged and bragged about how he gets about 80,000 miles on those tires and how great those tires are (I think the set he just replaced had
about 60000-65000). I could have asked what he thought about those tires now after his fenders were torn up ....... but.... his new set is the same tire. I guess he still loves his tires.
Ok....... back to mud flaps.
Based on what I have seen recently, if that tread comes off it will tear up running boards, fenders, mud flaps, and anything else in it's way.
Nice, very nice! For the price, these are a serious consideration compared to the $500+ Gatorbacks. The Gatorbacks look a bit better, but it's just outrageous what they charge.
