Well we had a successful day parts hunting! Turns out the guy we bought the pickup from owns several salvage yards! He invited us out today to see if we could find some parts the 61, boy did we! Came away with a Tailgate, Tailgate pins, extra horn ring, front bumper mount and bumper, glove box cover, FORD nose emblem, battery box cover, extra headlight bezels and a door latch! I am absolutely thrilled about the tailgate, I thought for sure I would end up fabricating something. ** I would be willing to sell the extra horn ring, send me a message if interested **.
If anyone else is also looking for a high econoline tailgate, got one for sale on ebay. Sale ends next Saturday. Been in family stored in barn for years.
