Can't begin to help you unless you list both years that these came from. You said the one on the right goes to a 1982? What does the red one on the left go to?
This is your A/C mode switch. My diagram does not show the connector positions. All I can tell you is the brown/orange wire is the hot wire from the fuse box. The lightgreen/pink wire leaves the switch to feed the low pressure switch and then the clutch for the A/C compressor. I can't figure out what the two brown/white wires do, they are spliced together in the harness. Maybe I will go to Gary's site and see what he has on it.
According to this diagram I am wrong in the post above.
The hot wires are the brown/whites. The brown/orange goes to the blower and feeds it so it runs all the time with the a/c on so it won't freeze up. The Lightgreen/pink is still the clutch for the compressor. I don't see a connector reference in this diagram either, so you will have to take a meter and probe the connector to figure out whats what.
P.S. It says "see page 100 for switch terminals" in the diagram. I don't know if Gary put that page up or not.
I appreciate your help on this. the 82's to 83's I think there may been two different style first being the square type, i'm not certain of this. But any way knowing what wire goes to what is a big help thanks for the help. When I get it hooked up maybe tomorrow will get pics. Thanks again
Ok I finally got around to stalling the climate control unit. In the picture you can see how I have it wired Every thing works, so it must be right. To answer Franklin Question I think the Brown/white wires are common
