What is the adjustment procedure for that pin in the Vacuum modulator?
For a Bumpside C6 the factory one is part number C4AZ7A380A. 1.677" long. 1/8" diameter. From here Ford made a kit that came with that pin and 4 others of different lengths. For a C6 the part number was D8AZ7A380A. The longer the rod the later the tranny will shift. I just did a search and found below is what Bobby posted on a thread in 2015.

The shift points aren't bad, its just I want it to shift a little bit later.
Screw the little screw inside the vac mod clockwise 1-1/2 turns or install a slightly longer modulator rod. The different colored bands on the modulator indicate different rate springs inside the modulator. I like a black stripe modulator in my trans and I have the same shift kit. If you elect to change the modulator rod instead of adjusting the modulator valve, 1/16" longer modulator rod will increase the shift pattern a couple hundred RPMs at WOT.
Thanks so much for the detailed info! I will be out of town away from the truck for a few weeks so it will need to wait until I'm home mid November. I do appreciate this though and I'll keep you posted on what I find! I do know a trans fluid drain and fill is in the truck's future. Do any of you recommend replacing with a pan that has a drain plug, and any brand/item suggestions?
