engine just stops
( Help ) I got a 90 F-150 302 automatic 4 wh/dr anyway clean throttle body and put new throttle sensor in changed cap and rotor put all back together and now it runs when it wants to, started driving down the road and it just quite set for a couple minutes and it started back up ,went few more miles and it just quite again. It did this about 4 times made it home and removed throttle body again put old sensor back in and it still doing the same thing may run for a long time and then it may only run 5 mins. took throttle body off 4 times and same thing each time, the last time the ck engine lite came on. don't have a code reader so ill get it ck for what code is in it. Anyone have any ideas, ran fine before I did throttle body Thanks Dan

I don't think ICM because usually when an ICM goes dead it's DEAD. That has been my experience anyway.
HOWEVER i do suspect something with the ignition. Most likely the PIP sensor in the distributor. Possibly, but less likely, the ignition coil.
I would be prepared to test the ignition for spark during that time when it dies and won't restart.
