I have a Holley 4150 with the Percy's adjust-a-jet block. Sits on a performer 2171. Here's the problem,,,,,just started smelling gas when I make left hand turns! Can't find any leaks or puddling anywhere, either on the manifold or under the truck. Besides not making left hand turns,,,,,,anybody have any ideas?
What motor is in the truck?
What did you do with the tank(s) vents that run to the charcoal canister?
Did this just start after having carb & intake on the motor for some time?
Have you checked replaced the rubber fuel line from carb back to the tank(s)?

My fault. It's a 351M. Rebuilt the truck over a year ago. Removed the canister but not the tubing. Removed all the pollution controls. Been running this way since. Just started today out of the blue!

So what did you do to the tank vent lines to the canister?
They left open or did you plug them?
If open you were lucky up to now.

Can't find any leaks under the truck though. Maybe just venting through the tubing. I will try to plug up the hose and go from there. It kinda makes sense. The tubing is on the right side of truck, and filled the tank to max. Thanks
Finally after a period of not being able to work on my truck to locate the source of my fuel leak. I was able to locate the source. The rear bowl, on my Holley carb, has a screw where you can check fuel level,,,,,,it popped out!!!!! Was able to purchase a new sets(the only way I could purchase) and solved my problem. So it's safe to say my wife is correct! I have a screw loose!!!!!!
