yep, and proud of it. as you can tell by my truck..its a rolling confederate museum. you dont need to live in a trailor to be a redneck..just gotta be a country boy and a hard working america who aint afraid to work for their money and show some pride for where they're from and stand up for what they think is right. which is exactly why im 100% redneck/rebel, and will be til i die

HAHA you should see my phone, it matchs my wallet, conf flag, and my phone ring is 'Dixie' My driveway has in 3 ford trucks, my roomates mercury cougar(new, it sucks) and I have a classic musclecar in storage.....og course, me and my roomies are the white-trash of the neighborhood
My grandma one time made everyone in a bar stand up and place their hand over their heart when they played Dixie. Hey Jimmy Dean, what phone plays Dixie? Or how do I get it? I want to get one of those glasscapes for the rear window that only lets you see out and have the Southern Cross on it. I saw it one time but I can't find it any more. ANy ideas?
Hey there guys! I'm glad someone finally moved the issue to another thread.
My question is.... Since the term Redneck seemed to bother RHunt64 soooooo much, I wonder why he hasn't replied with his politically correct mumbo-jumbo?
My opinion.... Call me whatever you want, because I have a great sense of humor. And I hope you can take it also. I'm pretty good at returning the favor! HEE HEE!
Talk with you guys later....
My answer would depend on the definition of redneck. What exactly are you referring to, country people, southern, jury-riggers, truck drivers, moon shiners, "trailer trash," scrubs, who exactly?
Around here, it is quite confusing.
Anyone can be called a redneck.
If you drive an old ford, "you might be a redneck..."
If you use duct tape to fix everything..."you might be a redneck..."
If you try to repair a tire with staples..."you might be a redneck..."
If your definition of recycling involves "pour in yard" you might...
Yes, there are many... I like some of the Foxworthy stuff. I can't be as funny though. Sorry. I promise to try harder ok?
Talk with you later buddy....
well I don't think you can speak for rednecks unless you are on and hell I "are" one.
personally i dont think social or economic status has anything to do with being a redneck, I think being a redneck just means being yourself, being a little more bold and outright with our more primitive thoughts.
i know rednecks that live anywhere from below the poverty line to the upper middle class.
personally I believe the thing that sets rednecks aside from other stereotypes is that we realize we are different and instead of making the word into something taboo, we go the opposite way and make it a thing to be proud of.
i have a friend that has the words red neck stenciled on the back of his ford pick up in gigantic letters,
I am proud to be a redneck and I think everyone should be.
I always use the term "Redneck" as a derogatory one - mainly to describe white trash. I call the "good" rednecks "country boys". By "good" I mean good natured and overall very pleasant personalities. For instance, I work with a guy who lives on the Eastern shore, which used to be mainly farms. Anyhow, he's the nicest, most good-natured guy you'll ever meet, and he likes his hunting, fishing, big trucks, etc. I refer to him as a Country Boy.
Now, for example, whenever I get a customer that's some loud, rude hillbilly, who's trying to fight everyone in his path - now that's a Redneck!
Then again, what do I know? Apparently I'm a "Yankee" (I was told this by the aforementioned loud, rude hillbilly who told me he was going to knock out my manager because we didn't have any economy "tars" (that's "Tires" if you've mastered the English language) in stock
