I have a 2013 F350 CC Lariat and have been using it on dirt roads a fair amount lately. Every time I use if on dirt roads I get a dirty, musty-dusty smell coming through the air vents afterwards. It is especially bad if I have followed another vehicle that was kicking up road dust.
I know that this model doesn't have a cabin air filter (really dumb). Is there a not-too-difficult way to clean the cabin air intake ducts to get rid of this smell? My wife has serious breathing issues and this smell makes it even more difficult for her to breathe.
Look on YouTube for ford tech Makuloko. He has a great video on cleaning up the ac vent unit on the suoer duty and you can see he uses a really good example truck for the vid.
