Cabin Air Filter

Does anyone know if there is a way to fit a cabin air filter to the Ranger. Also where does the fresh air get sucked from. I drive on alot of dirt roads and you can smell the dust on the AC condensor.

Thanks

Martin

Run it on max ac it closes out the outside air! The intake is right in front of the windshield inside the vent panel. I haven't seen a truck with the cabin air filter yet, so I don't know how they do it at the factory. Maybe someone else here has one and can tell you.

Yeah, it would be nice to be able to clean the condenser. I assume that it's buried...

Take out the blower motor and you should be able to use compressed air and blow it out at least a bit!

Thanks

The location sounds very similar to the Windstar that the wife had. I managed to get some of the crud out by using an airline to blow throught with my shop vac collecting the rest.

I will try running with MAX A/C set, never thought of that, must be a CRAFT moment.

Thanks guys

Martin

You can also hose out the intake in the cowl area. A lot of crud builds up in there. You will be surprised at the muddy water running out below your truck.
