What does the wide track give you that's better than the F350? What do you lose going to an F450?
The 450 will turn better but it will also achieve the worst fuel economy of any Super Duty. Typically not important as these are the optimal pulling trucks, but if you commute then it should be considered. The 350 DRW trucks have 31.5" tires and the 450 trucks have 31.9" tires. The 4.30 is still slightly higher gearing advantage. Personally I don't like running at high RPM for hours on end on the Interstate, so I went with the 3.55. Course that excludes the F450...

I agree with this 100% if the 2017 f 350 drw was still available with 3.73 i would have gone with that. I think the 4.10 gear is there for the ram boys to stop saying its not a fare comparison for me it's just to close to the 4.30 in the f 450 that the 450 makes more sense with the wide track. Now if the 3.55 f 350 is all you need then i think its a great choice as well.

I like being able to pull 20mpg in an empty dually... but I would have taken the 3.73 if it were available.
Figure with the weight of our trailer (20k GVWR 3500+Hitch) 4.10 would be a better option than 3.55.
Don't you lose the TPMS for the truck tires on the F450 also along with the A/T tire option?
Yes 4.10 is better for that weight for sure
Yes you do lose TPMS on the 450 but gain a G rated tire that will last 2x long than an A/T tire. It all boils down to personal preference i guess
Again if i could have ordered a 350 with 3.73 gears that's the way i would have went but with them making me go to 4.10 i thought might as well go with the 450

Is the F450 higher in the back than the F350?
A 3.55 dually is rated to tow 27,300 and the 4.10 gives you exactly 4,000 lbs more. You're coming in at 23,500 which gives you almost 4,000lbs of leeway with a 3.55. Yes, the 4.10 will out tow it in the hills, but on flat ground you're just wasting fuel...
