I am curious if this will work WITH the current offer of $1000 cash. I know they do not like to combine cash offers a lot.
I have never had a problem using an extra rebate from the EAA with a Ford rebate. What they won't let you do is stack rebates from the EAA and some other place
I joined the Mustang Club earlier this year to be able to use X plan. Guess I will pony up the $40 to join EAA as well for another $750 off. Good deal!
Ok so i joined the Mustang Club in June for $25 to get X-Plan. Joined AQHA hoping to get the $500. After printing it out does not work with X-Plan (oh well). Now I joined EAA for $40 got X-Plan pin and $750 (maybe truck going to be here within two weeks). Seems like I'm backing up. Is any of this going to work? Does anyone have any more advice time is getting close?
I just got the cert. for the $750 for free and sent it to my dealer. You do have to use the X-plan to get it. So, it will still save me about $500 off the invoice. You will need your PIN, site says need 60days, but you can print instantly and up to your dealer if they will be picky. Worth the $40 to try
My dealer ran this program on an in stock 2017 and it stated that it was not available for this vehicle. Has anyone gotten different information?
Did you have the 750.00 Experimental Aircraft Association X-Plan Program Direct Offer Confirmation Print out to give to the Dealer? you will also need your X-Plan Pin number and your membership card.
The debate remains do I use the X plan plus $750 or stick with the dealers initial offer of invoice less $800. I did get the Xplan etc just for backup but the dealer should hold to his word. Hate to waste the X plan but would rather stay on the right side of the dealer who said right away many many months ago that he would always beat the x plan and would rather have the credit for the sale in house rather than a corporate program. Guess there is no real debate, just musing about the possibilities.

My dealer now sells most cars at invoice because of TrueCar. When I told him I could get a X Plan pin he said great. He made an extra $300 on the deal by using X plan. Based on this the dealer would be way better off taking the x plan and Ford giving you the $750 off than him giving you his holdback money.
Ask him why he doesn't want the X plan. Only reason I can think of is that Ford limits the amount that they can charge you for documentary fees with it. Are they charging you a huge documentary fee?

Nope! Dealership is known for good pricing the first time around with very few fees. I will know more when the final paperwork comes around. And I have the PIN in hand, just in case!

I think you will be better off with your dealer's deal. X-plan ends up being a few dollars more than invoice on a typical Super Duty so X-plan-$750 is not as good a deal as Invoice-$800. Plus if your dealer's starting price is lower than X-plan, that is what you'll pay sales tax on. In NY you get charged the tax on the full purchase price and the rebates are taken after so ole Andy makes sure to maximize his cut. That's why it makes sense to trade if they will give you a good $$ amount for your trade-in. I'd have to get $2440 more for my trade on a personal sale to just break even.

Good information. Thanks. Especially not feeding the Cuomunist. I already sold my 01 to a friend in SanDiego for $5K who is keeping it here for now. (Unless I wreck it in the mean time.) He still maintains a cottage on Conesus Lake and a beautiful 3 apartment rental in Rochester. When he does take it back it he has another mechanically junk great body lined up to replace the rust and the rusted parts with at a body shop in Mexico. Should be about a $2500 investment including paint out there and he will have a great truck to pull boats around and MX in the desert.

X plan is always cheaper than invoice, doesn't matter if it's a SD or not.
X plan is .4% less than invoice. On a 70k truck that is $280. Add the 750 and you are at $1030. Plus fees are limited to $100
