Frankies new truck

I sent the old guy out to Cochrane today to bring home my new truck, it was a soap opera. He needed to bring out a tire because one of the fronts was dry rotted and has a small crack in the sidewall, also had to dig out his old elephant ears so that he could see behind himself, silly humans, scared of your shadows. He took his time coming home and spent 2 hours chasing down a fuel filter, the other old geezer down the block used his truck to play taxi driver. Play, play, play, it's what you old guys do all day. Heres the beat up rust bucket he brought home for me, he paid $800 for this thing and it has 116440 Ks on it.

A mouse hole with no mice, yeah I know that act, it's like those xmas toys he buys us
Theres a bit of work to be done on it, a few welds need to be completed and a couple of holes in the deck need to be filled. If the deck frame is strong enough I may be turning it into a dump seeing as I already have all the parts and pieces to do it.

That thing actually looks like its in pretty decent shape. The grill looks really good. Is it in that good a shape on the driver's side too?

800 seems pretty good-the bed alone is probably worth that . Score!

It was a concrete company truck that only got used during the summer and in 2003 it got retired. 5 years later the guy I bought it from bought it to use on his ranch to move bales and some equipment around. He bought a 4 x 4 dually and put a 10 foot deck on it and this on became available. He was to hard for most people to find so 10 weeks after he advertised I showed up and got it for 800. It would have become yard art if I didn't buy it and would have become a mouse house out in the back 40. There is that small rip in the floor and a small hole in the driver side cab corner. I've got all sorts of gen 6 1ton dually parts and a spare cab with front clip so repairs will be really easy. If your patient and know what to look for there are a few of these near rust free dentsides out there, this one has 72,000 miles on it and is nearly dent free.
The light bezel on the driver side has a hole in it but the grill insert is mint, the grill needs a bit of straightening on the bottom but it's not kinked Mike. I have 2 bumpers that are straight and rust free originals so this one get replaced. This is going to be my heavy landscape truck and gets matched to the 75 behind it, the 75 has a 78 front end.
I have a virtually rust free 78 f350 project truck that is being built as a 5th wheel RV puller, it's on a 89 f350 chassis and I stripped down a 88 f450 for parts and metal. I buy parts trucks that are usually dually flat decks for the metal and drive train. The cabs are shot so they get tossed. I pay $300 to 800 for my trucks, lots of good solid trucks on farms and ranches, just got to know how to get to them. Most people get lost 3 miles into the country.
