Not sure if it's covid-19 related really or not. I'm sure they will use that as an excuse. They just said their supplier is out. But, yeah getting more than a little frustrating at this point. Really want to have that as a rolling chassis before I start putting the engine and tranny in and figuring out that part. Putting a 351W w/C6 so will have to make a mount for the tranny.
The Ford Parts Manager and Service Manager I'm working with are laying the blame directly at the feet of Covid and the move to make ventilators, PPE and other items. They say the supply chain of parts has dried up and it will take time to parts items back in the system.
Seems everyone is using Covid as an excuse now....some of it is likely true, but I call BS on some of it......just an excuse for crappy customer service.....
Nice job Andy. I love the way you found a way to make things happen. So far I have no help on my build. Had several offers from some guys that don't know the difference between leaf springs and coil overs. lol Needless to say I turned them down but bought them a beer anyway. I have had some ask how long till I am done. I tell them it will be months yet. Then they ask how long I have been working on it and I tell them I forget. Little things like parts backordered or just having to order parts takes a lot of time. I feel your pain on the IFS.
