Ford Escape ABS replacement issue with VIN
OK so I have been having brake issues for a few months now. I have a low brake that from everything I can tell is attributed to the ABS system. I just had system replaced yesterday, it was replaced with a used part. When done I have ABS light, and traction light on, and brake is still low, just not as spongy as before. Mechanic figured out it's because the VIN does not match, he wants to replace the electronic component from old unit to new unit. Am I better off just going to Ford, or will this fix issue?
