Latch wow

My wife was very impressed that ford finally put Latch on the f250's. So if anyone's wife won't let them buy a new 17 here is your reason she has to let you. " It's safer for the kids honey".

I was happy that came to these trucks too! Way easier than lacing the belt through the seats.

I was very pleased when I saw you in the Truck Build video commenting to a Ford tech about seat belt latch. We carry the Grand kids a lot and our 99 F350 was a pain.

Yup. One of the reasons I got the thumbs up to order one.

Its nice to see Ford bringing standard features in their other vehicles and sharing it with the SD line.

Hate to burst this bubble, but I'm pretty sure the 2011-2016 Super Duty trucks all had the LATCH tethers located on the rear wall of the cab, just behind the seats, under some black plastic.

Definitely!! We love our trucks, but what can be IN our trucks matters much more to us.

While the 11-16 Super Duty trucks did have top tethers behind all three rear seats (crew cab), they lacked the lower anchors to be fully LATCH compatible. The 17's have retained the three top tethers, and added lower anchors to the two outboard seats.

Yeah, pretty excited about the lower LATCH too.

Do keep in mind, when you surpass the lower LATCH weight (Depends on seat, but somewhere around 50-60lbs with seat+child), you have to go to seat belt instead.. There are only a couple of seats that are "Certified" to work with inflatable seat belts. I personally like the Diono seats for their steel frame and narrow design, but like most seats, not recommended for inflatable belts.

So, think about the inflatable belts carefully if you need car seats
