Well. I've been putting some miles on my truck and absolutely loving it. I've been getting the kinks out of it. The recent one was the dash lights didn't work. So I pulled the cluster out and I was missing some of the twist lock bulbs. Which would explain it. So I bout a 10 pack and changed them all.
I got it back together and now my dome light won't turn off. Its stays on constant. Other then the door switches, what should I be looking at. It wasn't like this before I took the dash apart to pull the cluster so that's why I'm thinking it's something from under there.

I had the same exact problem after a motor swap - no turn signals, no running lights, no interior lights, but had brake lights.
Did some digging and found that the power wire coming from the ignition switch was literally blistering hot to the touch with the key on. Dug some more and found that my dad had spliced the power for the CB into the power wire for the ignition switch. Not sure if there wasn't enough of a ground, but once I disconnected it all of my lights started working. Haven't dug any more into it, but I'm seriously considering completely re-wiring the truck. It's 40 years old and I'm sure there are more gremlins in there somewhere...
I did the "wiggle" test under the dash. Since I was working under it I thought maybe it was something under there. Ive read to the check the harness where the front and back meet. Also I have a trailer plugs, Ill look to see if something if fishy with that even.
My plans is to rewire the whole truck one day. Ill need an engine in a couple years, probably then.
I suggest doing a quick check of all power and ground wires. Doesn't take long and could flush out your issue.
As for the interior dome light, I wouldn't even really mess with testing the door jamb switches. I ordered 2 from LMC for about $7/each and they took 10 minutes to install. Fixed my no-dome-light issue.
I got the interior light problem fixed. But I lost the taillights. The brake lights still work as they should. I changed the headlight switch and that didn't fix it. I did a wiggle test on the whole Harness going back to the tailights and that's all good. I found by the back shock mount some boogered up section that had a bunch of electrical tape. I'm going to look into that and I'll bypass the "T" for the trailer harness to see if that does it as well.
My tail lights were intermittent, there is a brown plug drivers side near firewall with 1 wire from cab going to 2 going to back of truck. Took it apart and cleaned it, taught my 15 year old about test lights and current while doing it, fixed it.
Is it just the taillight at the rear or are all the park lights out? If they are all out check the fuse, if that's good and you had all your lights before you pulled the dash I would be learning at the switch. Try removing the **** again and reinstalling it .I did have 2 switches go bad on me over the years.
