6.9 engine breakdown?
I have the whole engine apart replacing the head gaskets and got those damned glow plugs out. The glow plug system is fried. Going to go with the manual one with the solenoid. Best bet on this. Next question anyone have an explosion diagram of the engine? Do see what goes where? I remember but would like a guide.. As well as where are the taps for the gauges? as in RPMS, oil pressure and coolant temp? The truck never had them hooked up considering it use to be a gaser then the guy dropped the 6.9 diesel in. Going to buy some aftermarket gauges and hook em up
coolant sensor is in driver front side of the block, oil pressure sender is in top middle of the back of the block.
The tach sender on the 6.9/7.3 creates 53 pulses per crank revolution. This box amplifies and divides the signal to make it work with a standard tach.
