Lightbulb 83' 6.9 tachometer wiring HELP

Hi,
Well I have a problem, I have a 83' F250 6.9. I changed out the cluster to one with a Tach in it, I was told that the wiring was already there and it would work. Well it doesn't!
So what do I need to do to make the Tach work??

i think you need a tach sensor. it goes in the cover right behind engine oil fill cap. should have a wire with plug not hooked to anything. i put the sensor in mine but havent got a tach cluster from wrecking yard yet. if you dont find it i can email a picture of mine tonight.

are there any aftermarket units available? I haven't seen them, but I would like to put a tach in mine, as it is a 4 speed, and I believe to be 4:10 rears, and I want this baby to last.

Well it seems I have a Cluster with a Tach in it that I can't use, anyone need it?
I paid $48. for it. I'm going to put my other cluster back in, with the Banks tach.
