I'm nearing the bumper phase on my build, way ahead of schedule. Normally I take bumpers off, then drive the truck around for 2-3 years while I get around to custom design and build of bumpers. But, the move company did the hard part for me and sent me the parts to weld up so I've got them welded and ready for paint. But, what color?!
I've narrowed down to 4 choices.
-Black powder coat satin
-Black Bedliner
-White bedliner
-Chrome powder coat
I also considering painting my rockers with either white or black bedliner, but the flares will remain black with any of these choices. Thanks.
Personally, I would shy away from chrome powdercoating. I recently spoke to a pro who said the science for chrome isn't quite there yet for it in regards to longevity. He will apply it but warns his customers that it will begin to yellow over time.
White bed coating/ rhino/line-ex etc will turn dingy as it loses its new sheen. Black will just turn to flat black if that's ok to your tastes. If you were leaving the fender flares the way they are I would go with a satin black. It looks like it would match them. IF you wanted white, I would go with a white paint/clear combo....jmo
Well, decided to go with a 5th option. Some fancy industrial rattle can stuff my buddy left with me. It's pretty nice stuff. I did a white epoxy primer underneath it. The benefit of a rattle can product is easy touch ups later on.

Looks good. I was thinking about getting one of those move bumpers. any complaints?
No complaints at all on the move stuff. Went together real nice. Of course the styling is subjective, they aren't the coolest ones I've seen, but for 850$ delivered for two bumpers I can't complain. Saved me at least two years of head scratching and weed smoking that's usually required for custom bumper build.
So far everyone has commented that the "move" logo should've been cut into it reversed so people see it in their mirrors and MOVE lol.
I think it would match the bumper nicely or I would say artic white to match the truck. Bumper color would be easier to maintain tho. Just give it a good wax after it sets to help keep the bugs from eating it
