Should I do the Gotts mod?

I've recently been looking into doing the gotts mod but I'm not sure HOW to do it. Can anyone post something that will show me how to do it. What does the mod all do? Does it just replace a single tube with a wider one?

Why are you contemplating that change to the intake system?
It will result in more intake air rush noise.
Virtually no performance gaIn in normal driving.
Some will debate this but on the basis of airflow, the engine only uses just so much air defined by the throttle opening.
The stock intake system has no restriction for normal truck use.
You cannot get any more airflow past the throttle body plate in any case.
There is no free power to be gained and no improvement in fuel mileage.
You will see more difference from an extreme change in temperature and air density on power than any other parameter.
These are out of your control.
Good luck.

It's easy to do but if you're asking, it might be beyond your skill set.

And yes, no change in 99% of driving but under full throttle and open loop ECU, it should result in slightly more air which should slightly lean out the air/fuel ratio which should give a couple more ponies.

I think I'm into mine for less than $10. Worth it to me. A full intake system for a couple hundred dollars- not worth it.

leave the intake alone. I read somewhere that the stock air set up works very well up to 5000 rpm...................I have the 5.4, and I dont think Ive ever had it past 4200. it does what I want it to do. It tows, and Ive gone long distances with it
