We are mighty soggy here this morning. Looks like the system may move out by noon. Thinking most kids will be doing their trick-or-treating tonight because it's looking like soggy again Saturday? I know that the "official" T&T night is Monday, but I don't think we'll see the kids out on a school night.
Going out tomorrow morning with the Boy Scouts to do a service project, rain or shine. It'll be interesting to see what each boy has for rain gear. On a side note, Jr. may be getting into distance running, which will be good.
BTW, the radio said we got over 1-1/2" of rain in Redding yesterday.
Rain gauge in my backyard says we got 1" here in Manteca, Thursday night thru yesterday. Was dumping in Oakdale yesterday AM, was off of Orange Blossom 2 miles from Knights Ferry for a small closet install, roads were pretty bad.
Got all casework delivered for big project in Greenbrae last week, will not miss having to deliver there...picking up a lot more commercial work lately, change is nice-not having to build faceframes is a bonus!
Pork steaks going on the BBQ tonight. Did 8 lbs. of jerky last week Hank-how ya been? Scott, whatcha going to grow in that second garden?
Our weather station says we got 1.73" Tuesday through Friday. Almost zilch for today (maybe a couple hundredths early this morning. I'll call it 1-3/4" for the 5 days. Looks like it will be mostly dry today with another mini-batch tomorrow.
I, for one, am happy to be seeing some rain so early in the season.

Idid 10 lbs 2 weeks ago and then Luckys had Londons on sale again for 2.48 so I have another 10 lbs going in dehydrator Sunday. See you have been busy as I too have fires all over the place. Retire I hope in a year, I`m done,,,,,,,
BTW Scott, load up on candy to toss at kids during parade
Hey guys the city wouldn't let the kids throw candy kind of a bummer , we won today's game , so 1st place seed at the lil Super Bowl , this team of young kids are really good of course my grandson towers 2' taller than the rest of his mates, the garden of weeds , I'm going to try my winter garden again , my ribs feel good enough to give it a try , sold live stock and getting ready to bring in the new heard , will see what kind of Demon Cows this group try's to pull
Still been raining pretty good up here complete with plenty of wrecks and ID-10t drivers. We did luck out yesterday with the weather during our service project though. It was good to see the full troop out working.
Well I would say about 98% of my stuff is already in storage. Only have a recliner (covered with a California King size "encasement") a computer chair, and a folding wooden table that the laptop is currently sitting on. The rest is small stuff that can fit in the Thunderbird, except maybe a tall floor lamp. Just waiting for Perry to call and tell me he has a place, or at the very least, call to tell me he has a van he can use to help me move the 3 big items. I plan on moving everything that can fit in the Thunderbird myself.
I have friends that will let me stay at their place until I can get my own place, but I don't want to stay there unless I absolutely have to as they have 5 kids (my adopted grand kids) and themselves living in a 2 bedroom apartment. So, needless to say, things are already a bit tight. LOL
