I was looking up info on 2005 F150's. It said the XLT has key-less entry. I see several advertised as XLT's that do not have it. Why doesn't Ford mark their trucks? Also, I seen the XL has cloth seat covers but the XLT has premium cloth. What is the difference? Thanks
Mark them "how"? I thought that the keyless entry ones have the number pad on the driver door?
Only Ford I have that doesn't is our Mustang .... and I installed a wireless one hidden in the gas door that works.
Edited today .... for all I know, they may all have the key fob button thingy now? I was thinking of my newer ones that had both .... except the Mustang. But then my '92 has the key pad and NO botton thingy receiver.
My '07 FX4 does simply have "5.4 Triton" on the chrome fender badge. I did know that some have more like that Pearl Lariat I almost bought but which another guy beat me to.
I peeled the ugly OEM FX4 decals with that horrible clear surround off mine a few years ago and replaced with some nicer looking aftermarket ones that had no "clear" ..... took a year for the paint to smooth out where that clear was ..... but it's smooth now. Bought extra set too.
Oh, I had the 'premium' cloth in my XLT. Junk, IMO. Stains really easy. If snow blew in when you opened the door...stain. Rain...stain. Sweat from a drink bottle...stain. The leather in my FX4 is another story and I can't complain.
That must be whats in my 2007 Escape. When I bought it I thought the previous owner must have been a real pig. I had seat cleaned, and yep, even water stains them!
Keyless entry means the it has the fob for your keychain, doesn't necessarily mean it has the key pad on the door.
And I believe that the badges only mention the 5.4 Triton and trim level of XL, XLT, or Lariat. For instance, my '07 says XLT 5.4 TRITON.
