05-10 rear axle

So guys last year I swapped the front to the 08 axle. Now I plan on going to the rear axle. I cannot seem to find the info where it says If I can or cannot just use my old leaf spring brackets. I'm being told $250 for a section of frame with the brackets. Can anyone confirm if this is possible? I rather just reuse my old ones and save the $250 plus leg work to get the rivets out.

Couple other questions

Will a 5.4 3.73 axle work with my 04 6.0? I have the 08 6.4 3.73 up front

Will it bolt straight up? As in driveshaft to axle?

Bump... Anyone have any input? The brackets look exactly the same but just need to be relocated. I would think the brackets are the same but not sure. Anyone?

The single rear wheel trucks use the sterling 10.5 from 99' to present. Now granted in 2011 Ford changed the spring pack up and as well as few related things. brackets should be the same (as far a sknow) between your truck and the donor axle. For a longer wheelbase trucks with a two piece rear driveshaft they used a carrier bearing around the mid point.

So what you're saying is I can relocate my rear brackets to accept the longer springs from the 08-10? And would there be any benefit to going to an 11' axle? Is the ride that much better?

I misunderstood you. If it were me I would leave the springs as is. I thought you just wanted to swap axles out. I don't really see bothering with the 11'up setup. They flipped some stuff, added fewer but thicker leaves, etc. I've driven both 03' truck and a 15' truck with the same configuration and gas engine. Didn't really notice much difference in the ride, just the tighter turning radius on the newer truck.

Not worried about shock mounts. I'm wanting the 08 spring for the supposed better ride. My leafs are shot as is so I might as well get new ones.
