OK, so now I'm questioning my decision to order the console safe.
I was at the dealership to give them my Plat/Ultimate order on 8/31 & haven't heard anything from them since, so I texted my salesman today to ask about deleting the safe. He checked with 'those who know' and advised that since the truck already has a build date range of 10/31 - 11/5 the build cannot be changed. Does that sound accurate to everyone here?
I think it's a pretty short time to be able to make changes. Once the order is picked up by ford and scheduled, it's locked in. If we've learned anything on these forums recently is that Ford is careful to schedule trucks only when they're sure they have the parts inventory to build them. Someone else can chime in but my dealer was pretty clear that I only had a couple of days to settle on my order before it couldn't be changed again.

They can change it but it pulls your order completely out of the sequence and it becomes the same as a brand new order as far as scheduling. You might do better to cancel the order and start again the way things work. Or just accept the safe. I'll give you $100 for it!
