08 center console alternatives???
Since the 08 center consoles are difficult to find and very $$$$$ when you do, has anyone found a viable alternative?
Want to get rid of the jump seat and get something that will provide decent storage and double as the arm rest. Are any f150 consoles doable?

I know the feeling! I'm in the process of designing a center console now for my truck. I pulled the old console out and am working on the design so it can be VERY functional. I'm also taking the opportunity to put in a "carputer" and touch screen where the existing radio s now. Lots to do yet but it's coming together.

I hope to find a reasonably priced 08 console, but not dedicated to it. Even the console from an 08 f150 looks good, but doubt it will fit without serious modding.
Tuffy is up there too, but not as bad as fleabay prices for the 08 console. Looking at this one:

the console looks good, but really wonder about the arm rest.

Don't fret, been an independent IT consultant for over 14 years (managed a place before that) and still shake my head over all this crap --- web/text/tweet.
years ago, a personal favorite was IANAL - i am not a lawyer
people freak out that we do not FB, MS, or any of that crap. I just tell them that is because we know exactly why not to do it. Then freak them out by pulling up something they never thought was on the web.
That console looks like a hell of a project. With the arrival of our 3rd child this weekend, there is no way I can get into something like that. Tuffy looks good, but wife said it's too industrial looking. Gonna keep scouring...
