So I took the EX up the road to Richmond va this weekend to see what its all about and made some discoveries.
-at 70-80mph shes running at about 2600 rpm and sounding like I wish I had another gear. I'm guessing from the sound deadening and road noise/droning posts ive seen that this is normal?
-very comfortable on the road no I wasn't towing anything just me in the vehicle. I have to get into my suspension tho...feel like I'm driving a big *** futon.
-ive seen ergonomic complaints but I could see that if youre a small person. I have long arms no problems there although I wish the cup holders were a little deeper
-passenger window stops halfway. I believe that is the clip pinch issue Ive read about. gonna pop the door panel next week and check it
-rear glass struts are shot so the rear lift glass will not stay up...ive seen those for about $30 and appears to be an easy fix
-cruise control doesn't work
-getting 9.0 mpg (normal?)
-did find out I have a cracked manifold and exhaust has a hole from rust so will be replacing those
-everything else is cosmetic ...surface rust on the underside will get wire brushed and treated and a couple of rust spots on the roof in the drain grooves (is that a thing lol) and at the corner edges of some of the windows. and I want to reupholster the front seat bottoms. all in all not a bad project. Any suggestions for equipment/parts or tips are greatly appreciated. thanks for the read
What are the details on it, would help to give you suggestions. I'm assuming it's gas?
yeah I was editing my signature to reflect that. V10 151k no mods. I'm open to suggestions because Ive not decided what direction I want to go with it.
