So purchased a 2016 F250 not to long ago with 5K miles on it. About a month later it all started.
Was drying the truck after a wash one day and cut my finger on the roof. Climbed up and saw this.
Take it to the dealer and they agree to fix it under warranty. Drop it off and get a call a few days later that its ready. Go pick it up and check it out and this is what I see.
Call back raise hell to manager and GM. Agree to drop it back off. 2 weeks later once again its ready come get it. Go pick it up and this is what I see.
Paint bubbling up everywhere. Finally got fed up and called corporate. Regional manager called me back and after I complained and showed her all photos her response is what would you like us to do. I told her give me a new truck or fix it right. She recommends a different shop to which I dropped it off to Monday this week. While there I go to show him the bubbles and see this instead
All the bubbles popped, cracked back open and more rust coming out. And paints runs everywhere. 3 attempts failed miserably!!! All that is the driver side. By luck I look down as I was taking photos from driver side and look what I find on passanger side.
WTF!!!! I spoke to the manager while there and he says Ford authorized a "partial" repair of the driver side that has been worked on 3 times already and a "full teardown" of the new found issue. I almost lost my mind. Told him to fix the ****ing truck right and that they will not get thier loner/rental back till its done right.
How the hell can I be confident its fixed right once and for all. The Regional manager never returns my calls, she is always hesitant to communicate with the new dealer telling me that I need to speak to them as I know the issue. I DONT GET IT.
unfortunately, this is not a ford problem, it is a problem with the body shop that is doing the repair.
while ford is paying to do the repair, they are not actually doing it. it is being farmed out to whatever body shop that dealership uses.
luckily for me, my local ford dealer uses a fantastic body shop that i also use, and have known the owner of for over 40 years. when his father expanded the shop, he hired a friend to do the building and i helped him.

The two bodyshops that have worked on it so far are Ford bodyshops on the dealerships lot. They wont let me take it elswhere or I would already
Here in the Knoxville TN area, we have Don Dare, 6 On Your Side, when he gets something like this, brownholes roll. I agree, take it to the news or social media... Ford will be listening....
