Yet another CC Fire

I've got to admit, when I first heard our trucks were spontaneously combusting, I was suspicious. Being an engineer I thought 'perhaps'. Having a decent relationship with my local dealer I asked for the inside scoop. Even though I understood the mechanism of combustion, I still wondered 'what were the odds'. None the less, I DC'd my CC circuit and got my recall work done.

A couple of days ago they guys at the dealership said I had to come over to see something. The links are to the pictures that I took.

The best part of this, and I'm not trying to concern anyone *too much* but the vehicle shown allegedly had the CC recall performed. Better yet, if I'm not mistaken, it's a 97. (Which corroborates a post I made in the 150 forum that I got railed on for making: https://www.ford-trucks.com/forums/s...d.php?t=363879)

Draw your own conclusions...

a frayed wire here and a small fuel leak there = new truck. Fire will destroy the evidence
