A PROPERLY-FITTING Rear Window...?

As you can see from the picture, what I have is an ill-fitting, "universal" type of rear slider. Is there anyone who makes a better fitting unit.

My buddy has a spare one for his Dodge, and it has the top curve, but obviously it doesn't fit my Ford, and he couldn't remember where it came from.

This isn't exactly life-or-death, but I would like to change it out at some point. Any suggestions?

I always use sliders out of 92-97 ford f150 f250 f350 trucks. The earlier ones will work as well, however they latching mechanism is crappy and tend to be broke. The 95-97 ones have a nice to finger squeeze to release the to pieces of glass.

Get rid of the chrome in the window gasket and it won't be as noticeable.

Rough up with some sand paper and paint the inner aluminium parts black.

Or reverse that idea and rough up and paint the outer chrome piece....na go with the inside piece.

Yeah...like you and 4x4slik said I'll probably just paint the frame of the slider black to make it less noticeable. That was my first thought but I figured I'd ask about a replacement just in case. It doesn't seem to leak so I could only make it worse.

Next time I get to the boneyard I'll look at some later model units to see if they'll work.

They're on here in other threads, but OK...I never get tired of showing off my truck!

This is from the day I bought it...haven't taken any more recent photos, but I will once I really get into it.
