I am visiting my mom and sister for a week. Sis and I are helping to move our 88 year old mom from an assisted ling to a new place in Scituate Ma. Don't know if there's any FTE or fhv8 guys in the area but with Sis working a lot and Mom resting a lot I may have opportunity to visit in the area. Just checking as I live on a fairly remote island in Wa and seldom have an opportunity to visit other's collections, and/or junkyards as some of us call them.
Don't envy you and your sis getting your mom resettled. Been there with my mom, and recently moved the wife's dad to live near us. Not an easy time for parent or children.
Even though MA is right next to CT, I looked at the map and Scituate isn't real close to Hamden, CT. But if you can get away you'll be in awe if you can visit Chuck's place. Stu
I think a visit with Chuck would be worth a 6-hour round trip. I drive 7-1/2 hours to get there, although I am really visiting my sister in a neighboring town.
How long are you in the Scituate area? I am a lurker on this forum- your projects keep me reading. I have a 46 dump truck in pieces and a 55 F100 waiting for my shop to get finished. I am in the next town over and would be happy to show you around
Unfortunately my mom came down with a 104 degree fever and was taken to the hospital that Monday morning, my last day in New England so I had to cancel with Bert. I know I will be back at some point and promised I'd look him up. Thanks Bert!
Our best to your mom. Tough to deal with infections and viruses these days that resist the standard medications. We're going through that with the wife's dad too. Stu
After the kids finally move away and get their act together we have a few years before our parents become elderly if we are lucky. Then there's grandkids and then us feeling older and .... Sheesh, how's a guy supposed to build a woodie around here? All in all, life is still good. Thanks Stu.
