Injector stiction issue

Well, first problem I am having.....

Cold start the injectors definitely are not "clicking" the way they should be.

Bought a scan gauge II and checked the FICM voltgage and it never drops below 48V

EOT/ECT never really get past 8/9*

Issue is when I first start driving you can feel a definite miss, but as soon as the truck warms up it runs excellent, no issues starting hot. I did put 15w40 in it but upon some research I drained it and put in 5w40 syn and it definitely helped with the issue but it's still there.

Now, I've never owned an 03 so before I buy rev x and add it to the oil does this seem to be my issue? From everything I've read it does but I wanted some advice from you guys first. Thanks.

One other note the battery's are a little weak in the truck so tomorrow I will have new ones-putting this in as a side note in case it may cause an issue

I would go with Archoil 9100 rather then rev-X for faster fix.

There are two sides to the FICM, power and a logic side as well. Use a hair dryer, warm it up and see what that does.

I've read great stuff on the rev-x and the archoil, thing is I can get the rev x locally, the archoil i would have to order.

I'll try the rev-x first give it 1000 miles and see how it goes.

If it doesn't work, I'll drain the oil, and order the archoil

That's fine, too. I used the Archoil and found it very effective. It took a few years, but eventually I did have to change out the injector.

I started getting a contribution code on 5, so I dumped in Archoil. The code went away almost immediately, and has been gone for 5000 miles now.

I used revx for a while and it covered up the problem. Eventually polished the spools. That lasted a few years until 2 of them were bad enough and I replaced those injectors

I'ts a band aid for sure I think, for most anyway.
That said, either one is a good temp fix for those that either don't have the time or the extra scratch at that time.

It's also not a promise it works for everyone. I have read a few posts where either product did diddly squat for the end user.

I am well aware its a "cover up" or "band aid" type of fix and I know it may or may not fix my issue.....for $65 I will defintiely give it a shot.....

I have 2 new batteries waiting to be installed and I will stop on my way home tonight and pick up the rev x.....

This truck is not my daily driver, it mainly sits, besides getting used on the weekend.....

my 90 mile commute is done in my VW tdi

Just wanted to give an update, put the new batteries in, and the rev x in.

At first the engine started the same got in it to drive it by time I made it to the end of my road I felt a difference, yesterday when it was cold I went the same route and it was missing badly went the same route same spot smooth as silk. I removed the stand pipe under the oil filter and added it there, took it down the highway and the coolant temp wouldn't go past 180*

Doubt it's related but in the process of installing a thermostat as I'm taking a beer break typing this
