Ford re flash recall!!!

What's up fellas so my question is can ford reflash my truck if I return it to stock when I get there, without putting def back on & then when they are done re upload tunes. Would that work?? & Is the recall reflash necessary?? Thanks

Wow - if it is the 14E03 recall, that was a long time ago...

I would think that you would need to have stock programming before they could flash it.
Of course, they will log in the truck's Oasis report that it had modified emissions etc. As I understand it, all programmers leave a footprint...

Here's a sample... Do a search..

They are aware that my truck is deleted that isn't the issue they don't care. My question is can they flash it once I return it to stock without putting def back on .

The recall reflash is for the exhaust sensors so that they don't shut you down with a false alarm. Being deleted, this is no longer a concern for you. Having said that, you can back out the delete tune so that they can reflash your stock programming, but you will likely need the latest update for your tuner to be able to reflash once the dealer is done. If you don't have the latest updates on your tuner, the dealer reflash could leave y our truck bricked until you get the latest update. Probably should leave it alone.

Honestly, since you are deleted, you probably do not need this flash. This is what I would do...

Take your truck PCM back to stock BEFORE Ford flashes the PCM is the best solution to avoid problems.

I would drive the truck to the dealer parking lot, return the PCM to the stock Ford programming, let them flash the truck and once you get it back, you can then reflash it with your programmer.

This process saves the stock Ford programming should you sell the truck and the new owner wants to "un" delete it. Also, should you have to return the truck to stock one day, you will have the latest Ford PCM programming.

Know anything about mass or air volume flow a circuit code & lost communication to glow plug module code.??
Filter was clean, cleaned mass air sensor, throttle body but I did notice a lot of carbon build up when I removed throttle body.

Thanks I'm just not gonna worry about it! didn't know it was a regen update. I though it was a general update that would maybe clear these code issues iam having.

I know nothing about either of those, but it sounds like a failure of a module, or loss of power to a module. I would likely be checking fuses and plugs, or asking someone who has electrical schematics for help. I seriously doubt your delete tune had anything to do with it. Wish I could help more. Good luck.

Having a deleted truck, I would leave sleeping dogs lie. IF you some day put the rocketship back on to sell, you can take it to a dealer and they can reprogram it then.

If you are deleted, disregard that recall.
