I recently purchased a 2002 XLT Explorer with a power control moon roof. It does not have the standard "rocker" type open/close/vent switch but has separate buttons to depress to activate the window. It also has another button labeled "ASC" with a half shaded circle. The dealership does not know this feature nor does the manual state anything about this except for the rocker type switch. I have tried everything to see what this controls with no luck. When depressed, the button glows red but does not seem to control or do anything. Does anyone have this feature and can explain the use?
Thanks for the replies in advance
Its no wonder the dealership or the manual doesn't say anything as its an aftermarket sunroof.
The manufacturer is ASC, American Sunroof Company. They make a lot of the OEM sunroofs and have done factory conversions for several cars (Buick GNX, Pontiac Turbo Grand Prix, Pontiac Turbo Sunbird Convertible among others)
As best I recall, the ASC button changes modes from one touch to non-one touch open/close.
