I was quoted $600 for LineX on a LB (looks like we've got the same truck/color ordered). That's not their top end treatment (I forget the names of the different levels), but the LineX dealer urged me away from the top end. They said I really didn't need it, and I get the same lifetime warranty either way.
I dropped mine off this morning and I opted for the Line-X Premium. I believe they have four options:
1. Standard
2. Premium - Adds UV Protection....won't fade in the sun.
3. Pro...not sure whats different about this one
4. Platinum....its the pro package, plus UV protection.
Price I was quoted is $649.00. The only "deal" I was able to get was supposedly there is a $20 (or maybe its $25.00) coupon available on the website. They said they would give me that. That's all I got though. The standard liner was $549.00. Truck is a Short Box and the liner is an under the rail type. Forgot to add that.
On a related note. This was my dealers first 2017 Super Duty and he noted that Ford is using an updated socket head for the bed bolts. He didn't have any and was going to try to hunt one down.

Sounds like the franchises just make up their own prices.
When I ordered mine a few weeks ago my dealer thought his local guy did a better job in prep and masking than the factory. I ordered the gooseneck prep package and with that comes the bed link. He has seen the factory liner with the bed link and it was only masked over, not removed. That leaves a bare spot under the box link. Maybe not a big deal but the local guy takes the time to prep, mask and make it look right. I saw one he did a week ago and it looks really nice.
My dealer promotes LineX and although they will order the factory coating their sales pitch was for better preparation, hardware removal instead of tape and a better looking job when completed. And they quoted $450 for my 8'box, but only if ordered through the dealer. No brainer for me.
Agreed, they must set their own prices. Somewhere on the forum is a video where Line-X reviews a Ford bedliner VS one of theirs. As part of the review, they go over the prep differences. They actually also remove both bedliners too. Its pretty interesting. It's what sold me.
A couple of big differences between the two is that Ford sprays it's liner directly over the paint without any scuffing or surface preparation. The liner relies on chemical adhesion and it simply does not stick as well as a prepared Line X application. That video that Force refers to shows it perfectly.
The other big difference is just the thickness. Line X is about twice as thick.
At the end of the day, most users will probably be completely satisfied with either. But if you are going to grind on the liner, best to to have the thicker, stronger one.

I don't remember the thread but one post talked about taking the running boards into LineX and having them sprayed as well. For someone wanting black it would be a pretty neat add-on. Or maybe color too.
Anybody know what size/type socket the bed bolts are now? Also - do the LED lights pop out easily for spraying in a liner - and the switch for them? I've seen several on F-150's that were taped around and it doesn't look good...

I don't know the correct size, but my Line-X dealer said he used either a 20mm or 21mm 12 point socket. Its not the correct socket, but it worked. The bolt head appears to be what I would call a male torx. As far as the lights...I'm not sure.
Man yours line X looks beautiful. My dealer said he didn't have the right socket and needed up spraying over bed bolts. Your line X application looks cleaner and better.
