So I've read that the (late) 97 versions of the PCM have improved trans shifting logic in them....the TDEx versions. Anyone have first hand experience with "upgrading" and noticing anything beneficial?
I can get my hands on a few TDEx pcm's and thinking about giving it a whirl. TDE0 and TDE1 seems to be whats out there.
I did go from naw4 to tde0 and I liked it much better. The order of converter locking was much nicer. If you can get a spare pcm, I would suggest send it to dp tuner day have it updated to their latest tde# revision.
TDE0 was in early '97, and the TDE1 was in the late '97. The TDE1 would be the one with the most updates. Or get a chip. A good tuner can adjust the shift points on the chip.
Thanks guys. Would sending it to dp tuner add anything to a TDE1? I have a 0 and a 1. Was thinking of putting the tde1 in the truck and either sending out the naw6 or just getting a 6 position
We take the best stock strategy (in this case TDE1) and make minor improvements on it. Normally small adjustments to the trans. So you can send us any DPC-202 PCM and this is what we would flash it to.
Or we can put one of our custom tunes on there if you are looking for more power.
