NP205 shift rail seals

Anyone ever replaced the shift rail seals while the transfer case was still hooked up under the truck? Is it possible? Mine are leaking and I am tired of it.

It's been rebuilt not to long ago.. I just dont feel like taking it all out again.

If you can get the old ones out, I don't know why you couldn't remove all burrs and sharp edges on the shafts, clean all the dirt and debris off and install new ones carefully. Emery cloth would be my choice for cleaning and smoothing them.

Yeah I saw that video. It would be easier...just...eh...heavy little joker. No trans jack.

The shaft should be clean. The case was converted to twin stick.
