After you ordered, how long before you received your VIN?
Dealer estimated 10-12 weeks for delivery. It's been six weeks since I ordered and all I get is it's in processing! Dealer still claims it will be here in the 10-12 week estimate. I have serious doubts!
Ordered 2017 KR Ultimate, 350 dually 6.7, 410's
When I ordered mine, my Dealer told me it could be between 8-22 weeks from time of order. By the time I get mine, it will be between 20-22 months from the time I ordered if my ETA holds true.
Priority number is internal to the dealership. It means you're in the top priority allocation slot for the dealer, but anyone other priority 10 orders made there before you are still ahead of you. It has little meaning to a customer, because every dealer could have their own process. If they make everyone 10 is no different than if they make everyone 19.
So if I understand you correctly, my order priorty is 19 and if someone has ordered with a priority 10 around the same time, they are ahead of me?
I'm about 4 weeks out and my order is "still processing".
That sounds like a llllloooonnnnggg time away from getting a VIN.
Yup, I want to add more salt to the wounds here. I have had an order in since the end of May, no VIN either. I was told I was the 1st to order one. I think I even put my order in before the dealer did (because no one new that they were even available to order). So, I have been emailing my dealer (which they suck at responding also) and told them to let me know when they get one on the lot, because I wanted to go "play" in it and look things over with out hassle. I get an email yesterday telling me that they got one on the lot, but I would not be able to check it out, because it was a pre-sold truck. So, some how some one after me comes in orders their truck and it shows up yesterday and me...still sitting and waiting for a VIN (Also Retail #10).
Frustrating? Yes, but I have always bought off the lot and there is always something I didn't want or wish I had (2nd color choice, no seat warmers, had to get moon roof, etc.). This time my truck will have everything I want and nothing I don't. So, I can wait to get the exact truck (especially for the prices).
You should probably buy a truck off the lot if after 2 1/2 weeks you are that annoyed.
I would if they had what I wanted. I know others have waited longer but that doesn't mean I can't be annoyed. Not going to short change myself for one on a lot if it doesn't have what I want just because I'm annoyed.
Some of you guys are saying you ordered even BEFORE Ford started taking orders and definitely before they started production so surely you knew it would be a while since the truck wasn't even in production at that time right?! Think I read someone ordered 22 months ago? WTF! Hey I bet if you order a 2020 MY you will be waiting YEARS!
I ordered on 8/23 after I test drove the trucks at the drive event in Anaheim. 350 CCSB Plat 6.7 4x

It could be because of options. Some of the options went out of stock very early and FoMoCo did not schedule trucks which included the out of stock items. That would allow the line to keep producing vehicles and hence a bunch of trucks are being delivered to the johnny come latelys. Mine is retail 10 also and the wait (since 23Apr) is gruesome. But in return I am hoping that everything is correct right off the carrier with no alignments and replacement necessary.

I guarantee no one actually ordered before 22Apr16. The order banks were not open, in fact the first version of the order guide was not released until 15Apr16.
I ordered on August 20, 2016 and Ford Chat just gave me a VIN but no ETA yet. I had been checking every day until they put the scheduling hold on last week and they only showed "Processing" I guess that's progress!
