D = 352 cid 8 cyl
L = Michigan Truck Assembly Plant
669498 = Consecutive Unit Number, Produced March, 1966
If you go digging on South American classified sites, there re many Ford Trucks with Perkins engines, but the fact that the engine code for this one is for a 352 cid FE make me believe it left the Michigan Assy Plant with an FE, not a diesel.
....and that truck is ROACHED, well on it's way to returning to the earth, but I'm sure there are still a few trinkets that could be harvested, but it's value is mostly based on what it weighs.....

I think the seat is a nice example of the original Custom Cab version, probaby Medium Green or Blue.
Wonder if one could rebuild that diesel, guess anything is possible? It seems to fit in there well.

That's an excellent motor and well-suited to light truck use. A neighbour of mine had a 354 Perkins in a bump 250 he used to tow a four-horse trailer through the hills and dales of British Columbia, maintaining the speed limit on almost all grades he said. I think it makes about 125 - 150 hp and prodigious torque.
